A New Twilight Book Coming Soon

According to the official home of Stephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight saga, sales have reached enormous levels. Many have compared and said that the Twilight saga is the only one that has given the popular, Harry Potter a good run for its money. Hugely popular with the older teens, one must not forget that it is also a hit with younger and older alike. It is a good storyline that allows readers to lose themselves in a passionate love that has just the ever so candid twist. A young girl and a vampire as lovers, certainly not the traditional tale of suppressed lovers, however it alludes to the same scenarios. Some have even compared the story to biblical tales while others believe that it is one of the best love stories ever!

Gothic & Dark

It is a somewhat science fiction, chick magnet of a story; however some have claimed that the story is gothic or dark. Could it be, because the main characters are primarily of a non-human species? Possibly, but it is in this authors opinion that the storyline is not dark, just a twist of unrealistic love that has real life roadblocks. That is the reason that so many got into the story and sales climbed to the millions quickly. Most readers, especially younger women can relate to passionate love that is somewhat restrained by outside forces. Now, certainly those outside forces were not the love of a 100 year old vampire, werewolf friend or vampire rival, but you get the point. There is a dark time when Edward and Bella are separated and both are depressed to the point of not wanting to live, however it is rectified when they are reunited and agree that Bella will soon join the ranks of a forever alive vampires.

Praised By All

Not to say that the Twilight saga is for everyone, however it has been greatly praised by critics, general public and especially parents. The book was well written and both Edward and Bella show great restraint for a number of issues. Parents believe that is a positive for their teens, while critics rave about the great storyline, vivid associations and good literary work in general. Though it is science fiction it is still a very moving piece that has gained national recognition and has many calling for more!

A New Book In March

Meyers in conjunction with Yen books has announced that a new Twilight book will be released in mid March. Like all other releases the information is a bit sketchy, however Meyers stated that she is pleased and has been a large part of the new book process. She states that her words have been taken and beautifully demonstrated, with just a few differences from the other story lines. While the new book will not be an extension of the story, it will be told from Edward’s viewpoint instead of Bella’s. That should lead fans on another journey and see things from heart throb, Edwards’s eyes!
